MEET MAUREEN HICKEY
A true gem in the ballroom dance community, Maureen has been captivating and inspiring her students for over 30 years. With her unique blend of expertise, passion, and a deep understanding of how people learn, she has earned her place as one of the most sought-after dance instructors in the region.

Maureen’s qualifications are as impressive as they are diverse. Holding a Master of Education from Temple University in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training and
a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from SUNY Cortland, she combines her formal education with a lifelong dedication to health, fitness, and wellness. She has competed on the world stage, performing at the World Championships in Blackpool, England, and Prestwick, Scotland, and has earned certifications from prestigious organizations such as the Dance Educators of America, International Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) and the GPDIA in West Coast Swing.

But what truly sets Maureen apart is her ability to make learning ballroom dance accessible and fun for everyone. Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your skills, Maureen tailors each class to suit your individual needs and learning style. “My students are a reflection of me, and I really care that they look good and feel good about their dancing ability,” she says.
